How SideHost Actually Works

Short version: we buy servers, make questionable promises, and politely pass the cost onto you.

Acquire hardware (sometimes)

We find racks of hardware in a variety of conditions: pristine, refurbished, or enthusiastically used. We call it "diverse sourcing."

Plug it in, sometimes patch it

Our ops team (a lively group) slaps on power cables, checks fans, and whispers good luck. We prefer creativity over paperwork.

Assign your instance

We carve out a slice of the hardware and call it yours. You get an IP, a password, and a faint sense of mystery.

Delegate expenses

Power bills, network transit, and the inevitable replacement fans are all lovingly bundled into your monthly invoice. It's a team effort—you pay, we keep calm.

Support (in the broadest sense)

We respond to tickets when emotionally available. For urgent issues, we have a dedicated "maybe" queue.
